You are enough. You are supported. You will get through this.

We're currently witnessing a period of remarkable transformation. Obsolete systems and structures that are unable to keep up with our evolving consciousness are collapsing, and the repercussions of this transition are profoundly impacting businesses. In their efforts to navigate the unpredictable financial landscape, many companies resort to widespread layoffs as a rapid solution, leaving a lot of us in an exceptionally precarious and often vulnerable position.

I’ve been laid off three times in the past seven years and observed mass layoffs at every company I’ve worked for since 2011. I’m here to lovingly remind you, you are not the problem.

Are you feeling defeated after being laid off? Have you reached application or interview exhaustion? Are you feeling guilty for spending money? Or overwhelmed by the flood of emotions that may be surfacing during this time?

I’d like to help you navigate your layoff through general support and practical guidance.

Losing a job is not uncommon.

40% of Americans have been laid off or terminated from a job at least once.

Layoffs were up almost 200% in 2023 from the previous year.

I’ll say it again—you are not the problem.

  • "Jen's advice and guidance was exactly what I needed to hear 1 month into being laid off. There is only so much your network and loved ones can help you with. It's important to take a step back and look at things holistically and be reminded of your worth outside of your job/lay off."

    —Bryn W.

  • "Jen's compassionate and personalized support turned a potentially debilitating chapter into a time of growth and new opportunities."

    —Mark R.

  • "Never having experienced a layoff myself (times have changed!), I wasn’t able to provide as much support as I would have liked for my daughter. Jen was able to put things into perspective for her, and I encourage anyone to do the same for their loved ones going through this."

    —Kelly K.

Why isn’t Layoff Support is Here on social media?

Working in marketing for over a decade, I understand the benefits that social media can have for a business’ brand awareness and accessibility. On the flip-side, I find that I feel less connected to myself, to my friends and family, to my community and to nature when I use social media for personal use. As Layoff Support is Here grows, I’ll re-consider its presence on social media. Until then, I greatly appreciate you sharing this website with your friends, family, colleagues or anyone you know who is experiencing a layoff. ♡
